This soy yogurt is made by a dairy company. Monde Selection Silver award winner. Uses 100% domestic soybeans. Probiotic bacteria and vegetable protein are intended to balance gut flora, hence the name of the product. Each cup contains the nutrients and fiber of 30 Japanese soya beans. The type of sugar used is called “Ishigaki Island Delicious Sugar.” The company confirmed that 100% Ishigaki Island Delicious Sugar is used in this product. The company that makes the sugar confirmed that bone char is not used to whiten the sugar.
They did not get back to us about if the lactic acid bacteria are animal-derived.
It does not contain preservatives, so has a relatively short shelf life of 18 days.
